Free Eye Check-up Camps for students in Nagpur Municipality Corporation School in Hanuman Nagar Zone

    
 
 
Madhav Netralaya (Eye Institute and Research Centre) Nagpur, a state of art eye hospital in central India and Samadrishti Kshamata Vikas evam Anusandhan Mandal (SAKSHAM) Nagpur which is a charitable organisation working for all-round development of physically & mentally challenged persons jointly organised Free Eye Check-up Camps for about 1500 students studying in Nagpur Municipality Corporation Schools situated in Hanuman Nagar Zone of Nagpur.
 
The Free Eye Check-up Camps were held particularly for school children of ages 6 to 18 years belonging to the weaker sections of the society. About 100 children were prescribed spectacles by Optometrists of Madhav Netralaya which are sponsored by Rotary Club of Nagpur West and about 50 students who had other vision problems were referred to Madhav Netralaya for further free treatment and surgery.
 
Smt. Vrinda Pitale, Executive Member of Madhav Netralaya Trust, Shri. Ramanand Kelkar, Project Incharge of SAKSHAM Low Vision Centre, Smt. Surekha Darwhekar, Secretary of SAKSHAM Low Vision Centre and other members of SAKSHAM worked hard for the success of these Eye Check-up Camps.
