Hitesh Yadav completed his basic medical education from Government Medical College, Nagpur and then pursued a residency in Ophthalmology at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh. He was a recipient of University Gold medal in Ophthalmology, AMU, Aligarh. He subsequently completed a two-year Diplomate of National Board at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and then pursued a two-year clinical fellowship in Vitreoretina and Uvea at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. He is also a fellow of International Council of Ophthalmology, United Kingdom.
Hitesh Yadav has more than five years of experience of managing various retinal and uveal disorders at the reputed institutes in the country. His main areas of clinical interest include retinal detachment surgeries, diabetic vitrectomies, scleral fixated intraocular lens implantation and macular surgeries involving macular hole surgeries and epiretinal membrane removal. He also takes active interest in the management of retinopathy of prematurity, various intraocular inflammations, and infections. His research focuses on application of artificial intelligence in retinal disorders and various biomarkers in diabetic macular edema. He has published his research in international journals and has also presented at various national and international conferences. He is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the National Academy of Medical Sciences (New Delhi).
