Dr. Komal Patekar

Dr. Komal Patekar is a dedicated and compassionate ophthalmologist with specialized training in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery.

She completed her MBBS from K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai and pursued M.S. Ophthalmology from Nair Hospital, Mumbai. She subsequently underwent fellowship training in cornea, phacoemulsification and refractive surgery from The Eye Foundation, Coimbatore.

Her refractive surgery expertise includes Femto LASIK, Femto Contoura, PRK and SMILE. Her corneal surgical expertise includes corneal transplantation, corneal tear repair, pterygium excision and management of ocular surface tumours. She also has significant experience in the management of corneal ulcers, keratoconus and various ocular surface disorders.

Dr. Patekar has actively contributed to academic and research activities, and her work has been published in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals.
