Madhav Netralaya celebrates first anniversary on June 5

    
Coinciding the death anniversary of Param Poojaniya Madhavrao Sadashivrao Golwalkar alias “Sri Guruji” Madhav Netralaya observed its anniversary on June 5. Last year, on the same day, the Madhav Netralaya was commissioned in presence of Seami Avadheshananda Giri ji Maharaj, Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis, and Union Surface Transport and Ship Building and Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari. The regular eye-check up and surgery were also launched on the same day, last year. Today Madhav Netralaya completed one full year extending the benefits of its services to every stratum of the society.
 
 
On the occasion of the first anniversary, IMA President Pediatrician Dr. Kush Jhunjhunwala and Vice-President Dr. Prakash Dev besides senior RSS Pracharak Ravindra Bhusari were the chief guests. In his presidential address Dr. Jhunjhunwala said that like the famous Shankar Netralaya of Chennai, Madhav Netralaya of Nagpur will also carve a niche for itself with its dedication, devotion, and commitment to providing the best treatment to the patients of the region besides conducting useful research in the field of eye treatment. He praised the Netralaya and its staff for providing selfless and expert services to the patients.
 
IMA Vice President Dr. Prakash Dev also showered praised on doctors and para-medical staff of Madhav Netralaya and shared with them virtues of medical management.
 
RSS Pracharak Ravindra Bhusari shared some of the live memories of Sri Guruji and urged the staff of Netralaya to draw inspiration from his life to dedicate them to the service of masses. Netralaya MD Major Gen Anil Bam (Retd) gave the information about the activities conducted during the year. Dr. Jhunjhunwala released the “Smriti Card” on this occasion. This card can be purchased in memory of dear ones as it is named as ‘Smriti’ (memory). This card will provide solace to the donors.
 
Trustees of Madhav Netralaya were present on this occasion. Vice President Nikhil Mundle proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the Netralaya staff for commendable performance.
