Dr. Rakshita Deepak Kene is a Consultant in Uvea and Medical Retina and a Cataract Surgeon at Madhav Netralaya. She completed her MBBS at Government Medical College, Akola, and obtained her DNB in Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital under the National Board of Examinations. She subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training in Uvea and Medical Retina at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.

Dr. Kene specializes in the diagnosis and management of infectious and non-infectious uveitis, ocular inflammatory disorders, and medical retinal diseases. She also performs cataract surgery, adopting a comprehensive and individualized approach to patients with complex inflammatory eye conditions.

With a strong academic orientation, Dr. Kene has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals and has contributed to ophthalmology textbooks, handbooks, and CME programs. She actively participates in academic conferences and professional societies, including the All India Ophthalmological Society and the Uveitis Society of India. She has received five prestigious awards, including the Best Paper Award (Uvea) at the Annual Meetings of the Tamil Nadu Ophthalmological Society for two consecutive years. Beyond her clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Kene is a compassionate and caring individual with a passion for writing poetry in Marathi and English, with several of her works published in various magazines.
