At Madhav Netralaya, we believe in lighting lives, even after life.

Each year, millions in India suffer from corneal blindness – a condition that can be cured through corneal transplant. Sadly, due to a lack of awareness and donor pledges, only a fraction of the need is met.

Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute and Research Centre is committed to changing this. We actively promote Eye Donation Awareness, encourage pledging, and facilitate cornea collection through our registered Eye Bank (MADHAV NETRAPEDHI), helping restore sight to the blind.

Why Eye Donation?

• One pair of eyes can restore vision to two blind individuals.

Who Can Donate?

• Anyone above the age of 1 year.
• Even people with spectacles, diabetes, hypertension, or cataracts can donate.
• Eyes must be donated within 6 hours of death.

What We Do at Madhav Netralaya

• Conduct community outreach and awareness drives.
• Run grief counselling and support for families willing to donate.
• Facilitate timely cornea retrieval through our trained Eye Donation team.
• Perform corneal transplants with ethical and transparent procedures.
