After excelling in his graduate and post-graduate studies from the prestigious VRCE Nagpur, he has earned a Diploma in Business Management and completed a Diploma in the French Language from Nagpur University.
He has started his career at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Nagpur Plant as a GET, worked practically in all the areas of manufacturing and went on to become the Senior Vice President – Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management & Central Manufacturing Engineering. He spent 40 valuable years of his life with Mahindra & Mahindra.
Mr. Pathak has left an indelible mark in every assignment that he has adorned over the year. Prior to his role as Sr. Vice President, he was heading the Plant at Nagpur. The most significant, close to his heart being, the re-structuring of the Nagpur Plant into a World Class Facility, which has earned him accolades not only in the Mahindra fraternity but in the business circle as well. Mahindra Tractors becoming numero 1 in Globe, Deming award, JQM award & TPM excellence awards were all won with him at the wheel of the Manufacturing Division.
He was on the Board of Directors at Mahindra Gujrat Tractors Limited.
A well-traveled personality; he has been the Former Chairman of the Quality Circle Forum of India, Nagpur Chapter and Former Chairman of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Vidarbha Zonal Council. He is also a member of the Fellowship of Institute of Engineers. He has been actively involved in a myriad other Industrial, Educational and Social Forums. He was a Member of the Maharashtra State Council, CII, Board member of the TPM Club of India, Past Teaching Faculty of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Production Management), Member of Nagpur University Study Board, Member of Governing Council of NIT, Surat and Govt. Polytechnic to name a few.
During FY15 to FY16 with Mahindra’s, he worked as a Senior Consultant with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Mahindra Institute of Quality (MIQ).
He is a Council member of Gerson Lehman Group, a US based consulting Group.
He is also one of the key assessors of ‘The Mahindra way’ in which holistic assessment of business and ranking is done for Mahindra Group of Companies on a common scale, every year. Assessments are led every year, for Mahindra group of companies, by Mahindra Institute of Quality.
After retirement from Mahindra & Mahindra, he took a decision to work for social cause and took up an assignment as a CEO of Madhav Netralaya, a Charitable hospital. In that capacity, he contributed from inception of the project to culminating it into a best-in-class Eye Institute & Research Centre in Central India. After working for almost one and half years, till December’18, in the capacity of CEO, he was elevated to the post of Trustee in the same institution.
He is working as a Chairman of Study Board and also as a Member of Governing Council at Government Polytechnic, Nagpur.
He continues his journey with the same exuberance and dedication till date…
